Sunday,
November 12 was even colder, cloudier, windier, and snowier than the previous
day. We visited a few shops, purchasing
our kitchen item – wooden “bear claw” salad/pasta tongs with the words
Breckenridge, CO burned into them and proudly bearing the sticker “Made in
China.”

Maybe we can make a salad from our recipe book we bought in Aspen.
Nikki, the
tour guide led us and another gentleman on a 90 minute guided historic walking
tour of Breckinridge. We got no
pictures, though. It was freezing. J
Nikki, originally from England, owns a local Breckenridge Bed and
Breakfast with her husband a retired British naval officer.
We then took
the free gondola up to Peak 7 for a delicious lunch at the lodge.

The weather today definitely put the brrrrr in to Breckenridge.
Our last activity in Breckenridge was a tour of the Edwin Carter Discovery Center, where we learned about the life of Professor Edwin Carter, Breckenridge’s famous log-cabin naturalist.

We have a fondness for cabins. Our hallway bathroom has very rustic decor.
We enjoyed
Breckenridge so much and hope to visit again someday …
Join us in a few months when we visit our "C" destination on our journey through the ABCs of Colorado.
